A wealth of expertise
In addition to working on the development of new products, we carry out applied research to translate research results into practical innovations. Because we are a subsidiary of Aviko, and Aviko is part of Royal Cosun, we can draw on a wealth of expertise regarding the application of ingredients. Cosun has a well-equipped laboratory and a team of 45 highly specialised and motivated experts that work together with universities of high renown, such as the Wageningen University. Working together this way and sharing know-how often leads to surprising, and sometimes even unique results.
Aviko also has its own R&D deparment, with very specific potato knowledge. This department is specialized in developing and breeding new potato varieties and also in processing potatoes and in the equipment this requires. Working closely together with Cosun's Food and Technology Centre, there is not much these specialists do not know about all kinds of ingredient applications for the food industry, such as extrusion for snacks, bakery, meat and soups & sauces.
